Introducing Mentor Coaching
When we think of health, most of us automatically go to physical health - exercising, healthy eating, drinking water, getting enough sleep, etc. But mental health is just as important as physical health to maintain a balanced and healthy life.
Teenagers especially need nurturing of their mental wellness as they navigate through an already challenging time in life. Just as you invest in your child’s physical wellness activities (soccer, swimming, baseball, basketball, gymnastics, etc), it has become increasingly as important to invest in mental wellness activities as well.
Positive Presence is designed to foster long-lasting and life-changing results for teens and young adults that help them lead happier, more fulfilling and more confident lives.

Our Success:

Hi, I'm Michelle
I founded Positive Presence Global to serve the next generation by motivating them to lead a positive life and inspire others to do the same. Watch this video to learn more about my passion for mental health and my journey to Positive Presence.
“Michelle King, a remarkable force of positivity and change, embarked on her philanthropic journey at a tender age, igniting a lifelong passion for making the world a better place.”
“Since its inception, Positive Presence Global has grown into a global movement that has provided over 25,000 hours of coaching to the next generation and their parents.”

Made of Magic – A Story That Sparked a Movement
In 2025, our founder Michelle Marie King released her debut memoir, Made of Magic: A Journey Through Darkness, Doubt, and the Discovery of Inner Peace—a powerful reflection on the personal journey that inspired Positive Presence Global.
Through raw stories of self-worth, resilience, and healing, Michelle shares how the same tools that transformed her life became the foundation for the unique mentor-coaching methodology that now empowers thousands of students across the globe.
The book isn’t just her story—it’s the why behind everything we do. It captures the heartbeat of Positive Presence: that every young person is worthy, seen, and capable of becoming who they were always meant to be.
Made of Magic gives voice to the philosophy we live out daily through our coaching programs—and reminds us all that mentorship isn’t just life-changing. It’s life-saving.

How We Get Results
Partner with the Very Best Coach
Through our proprietary matching platform, we are able to concisely match our students with the best coach for them to address their custom needs, unique communication style, personalized life experiences and future goals.
Set Intention & Celebrate Small Wins
We open each session with meta-learning techniques that subconsciously teach our students introspection practices to elicit continual positive growth both during and in-between sessions.
Move from Struggle to Strategy
We strive to never leave our students in a state of struggle. Our intention is to create collaborative conversations between the student and their coach that elicit inspired action to move from struggle to strategy every time.
Accountability
We put as much focus on the moments in-between coaching as we do the actual coaching sessions themselves. Our coaches are constantly checking in and holding their students accountable to accomplish every step of their personal development strategy.
A Focus on Friendship & Trust
We hold these personal relationships with our students in the highest regard. We understand how in some circumstances, we might be the only person our student trusts and opens up to. The space we share with them and their families is sacred ground, a foundation that is fundamental to our student’s success.
As parents, we are always focused on providing the best opportunities and experiences for our children. One thing that should always be on the list is mental health support. Mental health through mentor-coaching is a proactive tool to prepare your child for any challenges that may arise - an inevitability in life. Mentor-coaching with Positive Presence focuses on providing teenagers and young adults the tools and resources they need to maintain positive mental health throughout the everyday challenges of life.
How We Overcome Resistance To Coaching
Amidst balancing societal pressures, these teens and young adults have become overwhelmed by the expectations placed upon them by their school, parents, teachers, friendships and most of all… by themselves. Being a teen or young adult is a challenging, volatile experience in today’s society, especially when doing it alone.
Positive Presence understands these challenges and struggles, and we actively train our mentor-coaches to help carefully peel back the layers with their mentees to unlock their true S.E.L.F. As a result, they have attested to feeling more confident, positive and resilient post coaching. We have also received feedback from our families that their loved ones’ interpersonal relationships have improved along with grades, self-care and an increased focus on goal setting behaviors.
Each mentee is matched with a unique mentor-coach based on their needs, experiences, and goals, so they can feel comfortable and understood as a young person in today’s world. This connection to a strong, positive constant in these teens and young adult lives lead to a greater sense of self, higher self-esteem, positive body image and proactive mentality to mental health.
Adolescence is a crucial period for developing social and emotional habits important for mental health. A lack of these skills can lead to anxiety or depressive symptoms, which can profoundly impact schoolwork, interpersonal skills, sleep, problem-solving skills, emotional management, and more. We can’t prevent the next generation from experiencing some of life’s greatest challenges, BUT, we can provide them with the tools, resources and emotional stability to overcome them with grace, control and a positive attitude. Why wait to help your loved one feel supported, confident and empowered?

FAQs
What is the Difference Between Therapy and Life Coaching?
One of the most common misconceptions about life coaching is that it is therapy in disguise — or, worse yet, therapy from an unlicensed practitioner. In reality, life coaching is truly its own unique service designed to help the recipient achieve success and fulfillment in any and all areas of life.
The idea behind therapy is to focus on past traumas and issues to change self-destructive habits, repair and improve relationships, and work through painful feelings. In this sense, therapy focuses on the past, on introspection, and analysis, with the hope of resolving past issues and creating a happier, more stable future.
The difference between a life coach and therapist is that a life coach sets clients up with short and long term solutions for positive growth. Clients work with life coaches to clarify goals and identify obstacles and problematic behaviors and then create action plans to achieve desired results. The process of life coaching takes the client’s current starting point as an acceptable neutral ground and is action-based from that point onward. A life coach enables the recipient to take control of their life and take action to steer it toward their goals.
How Much is The Program and What Does the Cost Include?
Our most popular program includes (1) 1-hour one-on-one coaching session every other week between the student and the mentor-coach as well as 24/7 access to the mentor-coach via a free, private video-to video app. Coaching also includes a customized and confidential dropbox that houses over $25,000 worth of positive psychology tools & other resources that we’ve curated over the past 5 years. (Prices subject to change)
Why Aren't We Charging The Full Amount We Could Be?
Do You Offer More Than Two Sessions Per Month?
Absolutely! We offer up to four sessions per month if both the mentee and the parent feel that amount of support is necessary. This can be assessed during our Enrich & Empower meetings leading up to solidifying your participation in this program.
Why is there A Minimum Six-Month Commitment?
Do You Take Insurance?
Because we are not medical practitioners, we do not take insurance. However, we are able to take HSA Debit Cards as a form of payment. In some situations, we’ve written to an HSA Provider explaining how our program is mental health related and in most cases, transactions are approved.
If you are in need of financial assistance for our program, please reach out to us directly so we can offer some options.
What Types of Problems Can You Help With?
Our mentor-coaches are trained to handle over 500 different scenarios. Our intention is to be a non-bias third party to help with any problems that you wish to discuss confidentially, including: sexual orientation, sex, drugs, goal-setting, finding and building positive relationships, emotional intelligence, relationship to self, spirituality, confidence-building, time management, and many more!
Why Do You Use the Term ‘Mentor-Coaching’ Instead of Life Coaching?
The term ‘mentor-coach’ was coined and trademarked by our Founder – Michelle Marie King. We consider mentor-coaching a form of life coaching that is a fully customized experience for the students and families we work with. For some of our mentees, we are a big sister / big brother, a motivator and/or an accountability partner, and for others we are a true coach pushing them out of their comfort zone and mentoring them on topics they need to aid in their personal growth and future success. Our mentor-coaches are trained to be a chameleon in the way they coach. This customized support makes this a particularly special experience for those we get to work with.

Who Do You Primarily Work With?
Our students are primarily aged 15-28. We have found that students within this age range are most open and able to do the type of introspection work we are encouraging. However, we have worked with students as young as 10 years old and as old as 30. We believe that everyone deserves to connect to SELF and as long as you can communicate effectively about yourself to your mentor-coach – we are able to support you in that discovery! We also offer parent coaching as a way to provide continued support to the entire family during the student’s experience with Positive Presence.
How Do I Decide if Positive Presence is a Good Fit?
Our proprietary pre-coaching process allows all parties to learn about Positive Presence, strategize support, and assess goals and intentions for a customized mentor-coaching experience. These brief meetings are designed to provide new students and parents with answers and clarity in a non-judgmental, confidential, and positive environment.
What are the Meetings?
Step 1: Submit our brief form
Step 2: Schedule an Enrich Meeting: A qualified Positive Presence Representative will reach out to schedule a short phone call with the responsible party to answer all of your logistical questions and learn more about our programs.
Step 3: Empower Meeting: This 30-60 minute Zoom meeting is a free coaching assessment between the prospective student and their uniquely matched Positive Presence mentor-coach. This meeting allows both the mentor-coach and the student to get on the same page as far as the expected coaching experience through Positive Presence and to determine a good fit.
After the Empower Meeting, you can let us know if you would like to move forward with Positive Presence and we can begin scheduling meetings for the student.
What Platform Do You Use for Coaching?
How Involved are the Parents Once Coaching Begins?
Parents can be as hands-on or as hands-off in this process as they’d like to be. Once a family enters into a contract with us, the parent/legal guardian is provided with the mentor-coach’s personal contact information. We encourage parents to send text messages with updates, areas of concern, or questions to the mentor-coach as frequently as they’d like.
We highly encourage parents to get involved in their child’s journey with Positive Presence and be a force for positivity and encouragement throughout their lives.
It is very common for parents to let this be an experience JUST for their kids and take a hands-off approach with the coach.
Why is there a $50 One-Time, New Client Admin Fee and are there Any Additional Costs?
There is a $50 one-time, non-refundable admin fee when you first become a client of Positive Presence. This fee covers the 5-7 hours it takes our admin and coaching team to onboard the student into our program, create their custom access to our tools and resources and set up a client account. 100% of this fee accumulates in a savings account throughout the year and is used to provide our services free of charge to families who cannot otherwise afford these services.
There are no additional costs beyond your monthly retainer unless you use a credit card as your form of payment in which case we assess a 4% convenience fee on those charges. Alternatively, we offer ACH debit as an option to avoid this fee.
What is Your Confidentiality Policy?
We pride ourselves on our discretion and confidentiality. We have an intended three-way confidentiality policy that protects all parties involved in this coaching process. The student’s mentor-coach signs an NDA in their training that allows them to act as the intermediary between the student, the parents or responsible party, and Positive Presence corporate.
Anything the student says during a session or via any other communication with the mentor-coach is kept confidential between the student and their mentor-coach therefore allowing our students to be vulnerable, raw and authentic. The same is true for anything that is shared between the parents and the mentor-coach. The lines of communication are always kept open between corporate Positive Presence Global and each mentor-coach and the confidentiality is transferred to Positive Presence Global at any time if the mentor-coach needs support with the family and / or student they are working with.
How Successful is Your Program? Do You Have References/Testimonials?
Every student that has completed their mentor-coaching program through Positive Presence Global attests to feeling more positive, resilient, self-reliant, and confident in themselves. We have heard from former students that this program helped them find their purpose, become more goal-oriented, practice better time management skills, and feel confident in making fulfilling, positive decisions for themselves.
We’ve seen how the types of relationships and conversations our mentor-coaches facilitate allow our students to feel safe to explore, comfortable to share, and open to dive deep into some of the hardest aspects of personal development.
Our students are forever positively impacted by their journey through Positive Presence Global and each experience is uniquely rewarding.
We offer written and video references from both parents and students on our website at positivepresenceglobal.com, on Google or via Facebook. Additional letters of recommendation and references are available upon request to info@positivepresenceglobal.com.
Are Sessions Always the Same Length of Time?
How Do Mentor-Coaches Qualify to Provide this Type of Support?
Once our mentor-coaches are approved to begin training, they start our three-phase Positive Presence Mentor Certification Program – a proprietary 60-day intensive training.
Phase One: All approved mentor-coaches start with a one-on-one, hands-on experience where they receive an in-depth understanding of our S.E.L.F. Philosophy, our coaching P.I.L.L.A.R.S., our proprietary ‘Perspective Coaching Process’, and a clear understanding of how to support their mentees through encouragement, understanding, and openness.
Phase Two: Each future mentor-coach is partnered with a scholarship recipient from our Foundation to gain valuable field experience. Over the next 30 days, (phase 2 of their certification) they are required to put in a minimum of 5 hours of online training, which includes watching client-approved session recordings. Additionally, they must attend 5 one-hour coaching sessions conducted by current mentor-coaches for additional field training.
Phase 3: This training section requires earning a 100% score on our certification exam. This 2-3 hour exam includes 50 what-if scenarios presented to each mentor-coach by a corporate trainer. Each scenario has been extracted from real-world coaching situations. The intention of this exam is to ensure that our mentor-coaches can maintain integrity with our core-coaching principles, utilize our ‘Prospective Coaching Process’, and think on their feet to positively and proactively support each student in various scenarios.
Our training program is intentionally rigorous and requires high levels of self-discipline from future mentor-coaches. The process was designed to impart the importance of the lives we impact and we take every precaution necessary to make sure our mentor-coaches are ready (mentally, physically, and spiritually) to inspire and support their mentees. The coaches that make it past these three phases become Positive Presence certified mentor-coaches and receive their first mentee.
